Play Sessions for over 5's Play Sessions in Bulwell Next Steps is in its fifth year of delivery and is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund until September 2024. The play project is aimed at young people making that key transition from childhood to adolescence, 9 to 13 years old. We provide a safe space for young people to come together, express themselves, experiment, learn and above all, have fun. The team are there to listen to young peoples concerns, uncertainties, aspirations and ambitions and support them in these areas. The project is shaped by the views and wishes of the young people. Next Steps is primarily focused on outdoor adventurous, active and arty sessions in natural environments. We are out in all weathers, so check the forecast and dress appropriately. Families with children who are eligible for school meals are given priority, on a low income or have special educational needs We have forthcoming summer holiday play schemes taking place across several areas of Nottingham City in 2023 - see the image below for our October 2023 programme. Bookings are via the holiday activities website and you use your e-voucher that should be sent from your child's school to book a place.
