Thanks to a £97,500 grant from Arts Council England, The Toy Library and Nonsuch, the international theatre and cultural studio based in Nottingham, are bringing a 12-month innovative and inclusive multi-arts programme to Bulwell which will bring together festivals, community events, national and international artists and create a new outdoor cultural space for all.

Steve Parkinson, Service Director of The Toy Library said: " We are delighted to be able to bring this exciting programme of arts and activity here not only for local people but also to welcome those from further afield to come and see what a wonderful space Barkers Wood is for imagination, inspiration, enchantment and playful enjoyment".

Izzy Bradley, Wonder Woods Programme Lead at Nonsuch said: "We have huge aspirations for this project, which will see Barkers Wood transformed into an immersive arts destination for not just the local families, communities of Bulwell and Nottingham but also audiences across the region and U.K.

The project will be launched on Wednesday 21 August at The Family Play Day running 12noon - 4pm in Barkers Wood and in the adjacent Bulwell Hall Park.
