Creche Workers

We are pleased to receive applications for experienced and motivated people to join our team of sessional workers.  If you have a relevant NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification and wish to join us please download  and complete the application form using the links below. The sessional nature of our work means that you can be available for work when you want to work, fitting it around existing commitments and responsibilities.  A number of our current staff have family commitments and we are happy to work around them wherever we can.

Applications to join our sessional playworker team are welcomed.  If you have a relevant NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification we’d love to hear from you.  Work may include after school sessions and holiday play sessions with children aged 5-13. Currently, all of our play sessions are located in the Bulwell area.

Volunteers are welcome at Bulwell Community Toy Library as they bring us new skills and perspectives, ensure our services meet the needs of our service users and increase our contact with the local community we serve.  We can offer opportunities over a broad age range and cover both indoor and outdoor play.

As a volunteer you can expect to have a valued role in our organisation.  We expect all staff to work positively with volunteers and to actively involve them in their work.

Many of our staff began as volunteers. Plus of course, volunteering with children is fun, rewarding and there’s never a dull moment.  We want you to get as much as you can out of the time you spend with us.  You don’t necessarily need experience but we will require you to have an informal interview with a member of staff and undergo a criminal background check from the Disclosure and Barring Service, which we will arrange.  References will also be required.  We will tell you everything you need to know about what we expect from you and what you can expect from us at the interview.
