Our Language Through Toys and Play project has been running successfully for over 10 years.

The project aims to encourage language, play and communication skills in children under 5 – especially those with mild speech and language difficulties.

Rather than expecting parents and carers to bring their children to us, we send our experienced worker to families – to work with children in the familiar surroundings of their own homes.

As well as encouraging your child to develop through play, our worker will also show you how to play as a family and how certain toys and activities can encourage your child’s development, including language, communication, thinking and imagination.

All the toys and play techniques we use are carefully selected to meet your child’s individual needs.

If you have any concerns about your child please talk to your GP or health visitor. If they think your child could benefit from Language Through Toys and Play, they can refer your child to us.
