A helping hand for families
Bulwell Community Toy Library was established way back in 1979 by local people and we’ve been supporting families ever since.
There’ve been a few changes over the last 30 years of course but we’re still doing what we do best – helping children learn and develop through play, in order to give them the best possible start in life.
We now offer a huge variety of services and projects for families and their children, from babies through to 13 year olds. Whether it’s home visits to help your child with language development or adventurous play activities for school age children on a local park each Saturday. Look through the things that we offer on this website or give us a ring to find out what’s right for you.
All the toys and activities we offer are carefully selected to suit all ages and developmental stages, plus we cater for families from all ethnic backgrounds and for children with disabilities.
Borrowing toys from our library or joining in with our great range of play activities is the perfect way to have fun with your family – whilst ensuring your children stay safe, happy and healthy.
Best of all, the majority of our services are free or will cost you just a few pence so joining the toy library is a great way to save money too!
The toy library is run by experienced, professional staff, trainees and volunteers. If you’d like to find out more about volunteering at the toy library please feel free to get in touch.
We are an independent organisation that is managed by local people who give up their own time to serve as Trustees.
