Mobile Creche Service Available To All Sectors Throughout Nottinghamshire

Our mobile creche service is now available to any organisation in the private sector, as well as those from the public or voluntary and community sectors.

As long as your venue is suitable, we can run a creche for you indoors or outside on an ongoing basis, or for a one-off or occasional event, from £33 per hour.

We’re based in Nottingham but can run a creche anywhere in Nottinghamshire.

Mobile Creche Service Expands

We’re expanding our highly successful mobile creche service to organisations in the private sector, as well as those in the public and voluntary and community sectors. The money raised from our mobile creche service goes to supporting our work as a charity and the service is available for a one-off event or on an ongoing basis. We run mobile creches for a wide range of organisations including schools, colleges and charities.

How does it work?

We can run a crèche on your behalf, in any suitable location, and take care of everything, from setting up the crèche to clearing away afterwards. Our service includes fully qualified, experienced staff together with all the equipment needed to run a crèche, including toys and games.

We’re happy to care for children aged from 0 to 8 years, but can run a crèche for older children on request.

The mobile crèche service is available to organisations throughout Nottinghamshire.

Why have a crèche at your venue or event?

Providing a crèche at your venue, event or activity is a great way to encourage parents and carers to come along – giving them a simple solution to childcare.

We’re happy to run a crèche on an ongoing basis or for one-off or occasional events – it’s entirely up to you.

Our service is designed to be flexible and we can tailor crèches to suit specific needs. For example, we can run crèches for children who speak English as a second language, or for children with disabilities or additional needs.

Rest assured, our service has been developed in line with guidance from Ofsted and all our staff are police (CRB) checked.

As a children’s charity, we’ve been providing play activities for children of all ages and supporting families in Nottingham for over 30 years. As such, our experience and knowledge is second to none and we’ve earned a reputation for trust, reliability and professionalism, giving parents and carers the reassurance that your crèche is run by a well-known, caring name.

How much does it cost?

You can book the mobile crèche by the hour, from £33 per hour. This includes two members of staff plus equipment, toys and games. We can provide more staff for a small additional charge, if required.

The money raised through our mobile crèche service helps to fund our charitable work, so you’ll be helping to support some of Nottingham’s most vulnerable families.

Playday 2013

Playday is the national day for play, traditionally held on the first Wednesday in August.

Now in its 26th year, Playday is the biggest play sector event in the UK, and possibly Europe! As well as being a celebration of children’s right to play, it also aims to highlight the importance of play in children’s lives. The event is coordinated by Play England, Play Wales, Play Scotland and PlayBoard Northern Ireland.

Playday involves children, young people and communities getting out and playing at hundreds of community events across the UK.

This year, it’s on 7th August with the theme of ‘Playful Places’ and the organisers are calling on everyone to help make sure that the places where children live and hang out are also great places to play. They believe that:

Children should feel welcomed where they live and feel part of their communities.
Parents want their children to be able to play outside.
Public space should be designed and managed with children’s play in mind.
Children and young people need to be involved in planning the places and spaces where they play.

We’re On ITV ‘This Morning’ On Friday!

We’re going to be on ITV’s ‘This Morning’ show on Friday, as part of a week-long special the programme is doing on volunteering, launched by Prince Charles.

Presenter Kate Thornton and the ITV film crew spent a day and a half at the toy library in December so tune in on Friday to see the results!

Kate Thornton From ITV ‘This Morning’ Visits Toy Library

The toy library welcomed some very special visitors last week when TV presenter Kate Thornton and a film crew from ITV’s ‘This Morning’ show came to the toy library as part of a feature the programme is planning on volunteering.

The piece is due to be aired in early January so we’ll let you know the date!

The ‘This Morning’ team spent a day and a half at the toy library, filming our range of services. They started before 9am and at 6pm were in the woods, despite it being dark and freezing cold, filming our outdoor play project, attended by around 30 children!

We’d like to say a big thank you to Kate Thornton and the ITV team and as you can imagine we’re very excited about being on TV!

Thank you to all the children, parents, carers, volunteers and toy library staff who took part in the filming too.
